PE Days

On Thursday mornings we have PE lessons. Please could children come into school these days dressed in appropriate PE kit. When it is dry, we will go outside so please ensure your child has warm clothing.

Homework

Spelling homework is given out every Friday and to be returned the following Thursday.

Reading books will be changed on a Thursday. In addition to this, your child will bring home a 'book bag book' linked to their phonics group. This will have a note saying when it needs to be returned.

Outdoor Learning Sessions

All children in Year 1 will attend regular Outdoor Learning sessions throughout the school year.  These sessions take place on the school site, predominantly based in our Forest School area.

Sessions take place on a Wednesday morning, led by Mrs Lampard (s.lampard@sdps.plymouth.sch.uk) and each class attends every other week.  Please see the table below to know when your child's sessions are.

Parents/Carers do not need to supply any additional equipment for these sessions; waterproofs and wellington boots are provided.  However, as the weather turns colder children may wish to bring named hats/gloves to school and wear extra layers.  We encourage the children to change their footwear independently - please avoid sending your child to school in shoes with laces unless they are able to tie them.
