Year 6 Spelling Routines

Each week, your child will take part in a spelling lesson focusing on a given pattern or rule.

On Fridays, they will bring home a printed sheet, containing ten words discussed in the lesson mentioned above.  They are to follow the Look, Cover, Say, Write, Check and Correct method of practising, whilst at home.

The following Friday, your child will complete a spelling test of these words.

In addition to this, your child's sheet will also contain five of the Year 5 and 6, or 3 and 4 Common Exception Words.  

Copies of these lists will be published below, on a weekly basis.
