Homework & Revision

To best support the learning that goes on in school, we encourage all Year 6s to practise their core skills at home. This includes:

• Daily reading of your reading book. Please send Reading Diaries in to school daily.
• Weekly spellings which are tested on a Friday morning. New spellings given on a Friday. Look for the Red Folder.
• Weekly maths activities linked to what we are learning in class. Collected on a Thursday, new task sent on a Friday. Look for the Red Folder.
• Weekly grammar activities designed to expand your vocabulary
• Weekly reading activities based on a range of short book extracts
• Additional optional Timestable practice through Times Table Rockstars - practice freely or join in our competitions.

On the Home Learning page there are also parent support videos to help you and your parents use these sites.

You can also use trustworthy web sites like BBC Bitesize to help support your learning, delve a little bit deeper into a subject or quench your thirst for knowledge!
