End of Term

What a fantastic last week of term we are having!  The children (and staff) have had a fantastic morning at Forest School (managing to avoid the torrential rain!) where we toasted marshmallows on the open fire, made Forest School necklaces from wooden offcuts, searched for hidden Christmas pictures and enjoyed biscuits and hot chocolate.

In class we have been creating Reindeer fact files, designing our own sleighs, and completing 'colour by addition problem' pictures.

We have enjoyed speaking to you during our Parent/Teacher phone calls this week and appreciate all of the help and support you have given us over this challenging year.  We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.

Warmest Regards,

The Year 1 Team

Bubble Closure Day 2 - Friday 20th November 2020

We hope everyone has settled back into home learning. Miss Martin, Mrs Lampard and myself have been very busy getting everything ready for next week so you'll have lots of fun learning to do at home. We enjoyed seeing some of you at our Teams video chats this afternoon and we will be setting more up next week to speak to you again. We're especially looking forward to our story time sessions next week - we hope to see lots of you joining us. Have a lovely weekend and we'll speak to you next week.

Week 1

The children have settled in beautifully.  We are so impressed with how quickly they have adapted to being back at school.  This week we have focused on establishing our rules and routines.  The children now know when to stop and listen, how to move safely around the school and how play respectfully with our friends and equipment.

We are also all expert hand washers!

We have really appreciated the support from parents and carers as we settle in to our new routines.  Check out our gallery page to see some of the things we have been doing.

Have a wonderful weekend, we look forward to seeing you all next week, ready for more exciting learning!
