School Association

Our aim is to support the school by raising money for activities to enhance and complement the curriculum.  We raise our funds by holding major events such as Summer and Christmas fairs, Mothers Day and Fathers Day stalls, discos, quiz nights, Easter draws and much more.

Membership of the Association is open to all parents, carers and staff and our proceeds benefit all the children at our school.  Activities are organised and funding decisions are made by the Committee but we rely heavily of the support of many others to run these events.  We meet about once every six weeks but sometimes slightly more in the run up to a big event.

During the last school year we part funded several school trips and activities and donated £1,000 towards the 'Learning is Fun' program.  We also made a major contribution of £15,000 towards new outdoor play equipment for both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 playgrounds.  We have recently completed building a vegetable garden as a learning resource for the children.  This project is an ongoing concern and we are working towards providing a continual maintenance program together with the teachers and children.

Being an active member of the Association is a great way to get involved with our school, meet parents in other year groups and have fun all for a great cause.  Join us now.  You're just a click away! schoolassociation@sdps.plymouth.sch.uk
