Christmas tree decorating on the 1st of December 2018
Every child in the school decorated a link of a paper chain. Each year group connected their links together to make a complete chain so that everyone was represented on the tree.

Global diversity day Thank you to all of the parents and carers who came in to school this week to share stories of their home country, show some amazing national dress and the best bit was tasting the delicious foods that were carefully cooked and baked for classes to sample. We do appreciate the time you all took to make this year’s culture day very special and it really enhanced the day for all the children.

SCHOOL COUNCIL LONDON TRIP On Tuesday the KS2 members of the school council went on the trip of a lifetime to London. After an early start at Plymouth station (!) the children were in London by 10 o’clock and were soon travelling to Westminster on the Underground. After lunch at McDonalds everyone was excited to meet Ant and Dec who were filming for Britain’s Got Talent on the banks of the Thames. The TV presenters posed for photographs before we travelled to the Houses of Parliament for a tour behind the scenes. The children were shown all around the Palace of Westminster and even sat in the public gallery to watch the House of Commons in action. A workshop followed where the children learnt about Crown and Parliament from the time of King John, and met Plymouth MP Oliver Colvile who told them about his mission to save hedgehogs! The children then returned to Paddington station, visited the station of the famous bear himself and then got on the train for the journey to home; tired but very happy. We did mention Ant and Dec, didn’t we?
Wow have a look at how the building work looks from above.
